Arsinoe’s Case Study “Greening the Athens Metropolitan Area” – Living Lab Workshop

     

A workshop was conducted as part of Arsinoe‘s Case Study focusing on the Athens Metropolitan Area. Experts, stakeholders, and innovators convened to evaluate and investigate the tools and outcomes associated with the Athenian Case Study.

Professor Chrysi Lapsidou, who serves as the Vice-Rector of Innovation, Internationalization, Collaborations, and Digital Governance at the University of Thessaly, in addition to her role as Coordinator for Arsinoe project, attended and actively participated in the workshop, offering her insights on the presentation.

The team presented the Arsinoe VR Choice Experiment, an immersive tool developed to facilitate choice experiments in virtual reality (VR) and to promote environmental awareness. By integrating technology with sustainability, this application enables individuals to engage more profoundly with critical environmental challenges.

The workshop included the following:

–        Presentation of Governance Analysis Results Utilizing Knowledge Graphs

–        Tools for Addressing Urban Heatwaves and Climate Change

–        Discussion on Citizen Science, MINKA, and Nature-Based Solutions (NBS)

Nikos Chrysogelos, the Deputy Mayor of Athens for Climate Governance and Social Economy, attended the workshop and delivered his remarks.
