The agrifood sector is currently experiencing a significant transformation characterized by a focus on innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity. Leading this movement is Professor Chrysi Laspidou, Vice-Rector of the University of Thessaly and head of One Planet Thessaly, which serves as the university’s Innovation and Technology Transfer Unit and Entrepreneurship Center. As a dedicated proponent of gender equality and sustainable development, Professor Laspidou is shaping the discourse regarding the essential role of women in agrifood entrepreneurship.
In her work, Professor Laspidou underscores the imperative to enhance female entrepreneurship within the sector, aligning her vision with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5 (Gender Equality).
