One Health: International Experts Workshop! On September 17-18 in Athens, University of Thessaly and One Planet had the pleasure of hosting a unique workshop featuring distinguished scientists from around the globe!
We had a great time and all learned a lot from each other and gathered quite a bit of information and insights for our Juniper model!
The focus of the workshop was the development of a systemic One Health model, connecting human, animal, and environmental health while addressing the challenges posed by climate change.
Participants explored how the various sectors of One Health interact and how we can model these interactions, utilizing resources and policies that define our socio-economic pathways.

– Sara Savic, Senior Research Associate, Scientific Veterinary Institute ‘Novi Sad’.
– Claire Lajaunie, French Institute of Health and Medical Research, University of Strathclyde.
– Stephanie Thomas, Department of Biogeography, University of Bayreuth, Germany.
– Jean-Pierre Van Geertruyden, Professor of Global Health, Disease Control at the University of Antwerp.
– Julie Garnier, Veterinarian at Odyssey Conservation Trust.
– Simon Rüegg, Veterinarian at the University of Zurich.
