Hello, everyone. I am Chrysi Laspidou, a passionate advocate for climate justice and a staunch supporter of initiatives aimed at preserving our planet. Throughout my career, I’ve strived to innovate in climate change adaptation measures with a human-centric approach, believing that these efforts can lead to global resilience.

My formative years were spent in the United States, where I pursued my education at esteemed institutions such as Northwestern University and the University of Texas at Austin. This journey instilled in me a diverse engineering background, encompassing mechanical, industrial, civil, and environmental disciplines. Consequently, my research interests span across various fields, including engineering, urban planning, hydrology, energy, biology, ecology, agriculture, economics, and informatics.

Specifically, my research endeavours delve into resource Nexus and water informatics, mathematical modelling of physical-chemical and biological processes in natural aquatic systems, urban water issues, resource sustainability, and socio-economic aspects of water management. I actively engage in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) projects, focusing on multisensors, smart urban water management, and ICT applications for improving ecosystem function and quality.
