At the Balkan Countries Health Business Forum 2025, held from April 25-27 in Edirne, Turkey, Professor Charalampos Billinis, the Rector of the University of Thessaly attended as a guest of Professor Dr. Mustafa Hatipler, the Rector of Trakya University. He was accompanied by Professor Chrysi Laspidou, the Vice-Rector for Innovation, Internationalization, Collaborations, and Digital Governance, and Professor Ioannis Stefanidis, the Vice-Rector for Research and Lifelong Learning.
The event featured a forum of Rectors from various Balkan universities, which included the participation of the Turkish Minister of Health and Health Ministers from several Balkan nations. Professor Billinis was one of twelve participants in the Rectors’ forum and delivered a presentation during the thematic session titled “Human Resources, Information Systems, and Innovation in Health Tourism.” In his address, he expressed gratitude to the organizers for the invitation and underscored the significance of excellence and collaboration within the health sector. He specifically highlighted the strategic role of the University of Thessaly in enhancing the health and well-being of the Thessaly Region’s population through innovative educational and research initiatives.
