Vice-Rector Chrysi Laspidou, the Project Coordinator at the University of Thessaly, recently shared her insights on the legacy of ARSINOE in an interview. She highlighted that the project’s impact goes well beyond merely developing technological tools. While digital innovation is significant, the true strength of ARSINOE lies in its ability to reshape the political and social frameworks that underpin sustainability and resource management. The project adopts a deeply participatory approach, actively engaging a broad spectrum of stakeholders — including policymakers, researchers, local communities, and private sector actors — to ensure that diverse perspectives are not only acknowledged but also meaningfully integrated into decision-making processes.
“The legacy of ARSINOE is not just about developing tools or technologies,” said Professor Laspidou. “It’s about showing a new way to understand and to really intervene in the political process.”
